We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Valley Mortuary
A great man, Thomas LeRoy Neil left this world unexpectedly Saturday, August 14th 2021 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Tom was a beloved husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all. He was born in Weaverville, California June 28, 1955 to Grace and Thomas Neil. He grew up in the Santa Rosa area before moving to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he lived for the next 40 years. He was always adventurous and up for any challenge. An original ski bum, avid fisherman and outdoor enthusiast, to say that Tom was a lover of nature is an understatement. He spent his career as a foreman building beautiful custom homes, leaving his professional mark forever in the Jackson community. He was always reading books, spending time with his loved ones, and cracking dad jokes. And one must not forget his ardent passion for music and a good concert.
He is survived by his loving wife Susie Dunnagan-Neil; daughters, Lynn Neil and Rachel Hopkins (Brian Hopkins); stepdaughter, Kelly Dunnagan and Shannon Koenig (Alex Koenig); his greatest joys: his grandchildren, Ella, Sawyer, Lucy and Kiran; his sisters, Denise Nyby and Nancy Winset; cousins, Susie, Paul, and Jack Henry; his previous wife Jane Nicholson and stepmother Dottie Neil; and numerous other family and lifelong friends.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Teton County Library and the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club.
Condolences can be sent to the family to Valley Mortuary, P.O. Box 9059, Jackson, WY 83002
