Cynthia Ann Dubois

August 23, 1948 ~ August 20, 2018 (age 69)

Longtime Jackson resident Cynthia "Cindy" DuBois died Aug. 20 after fighting health issues and eventually multiple myeloma. She was 69.

Her family provided the following.

Cindy grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri, graduating from Central High School in 1966. She moved to Jackson in the early 1980s and absolutely loved the area.

Cindy retired from Grand Teton National Park in 2005 and spent her time traveling the West in her truck and travel trailer with her four-legged companions. While working for the park within the ranger division she supported law enforcement rangers, was a mentor and champion for new rangers starting their career, and brought ties to law enforcement in Jackson, where she was the Clerk of Court for many years.

Cindy was always a strong woman who could take care of herself in any given situation. She was a loving person, a straight shooter and honest with everyone. Her painting, floral arrangements, and cards demonstrated her artistic talent and were enjoyed by many.

Throughout her lifetime and adventures she met many people so her circle of friends and supporters spans the countryside. She will be missed by her many friends and beloved pets.

She was remembered on Aug. 23, on what would have been her 70th birthday, at a small gathering of friends who recognized her for her whit, contagious laughter, interest in people and love for animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Donald DuBois.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Adoption Center or the American Cancer Society.
